5 Months

I cannot believe that we are halfway through this pregnancy!  Some days I feel like it is flying by and some days I feel like this will be the longest 9 months of my life.  I guess that's normal though.  Jack and I are getting more and more excited every day to meet our little boy!  (Still no name but we are working on it) However, we are glad to have this time to prepare for his arrival.  Jack is reading a lot and I am asking a billion questions...mostly of my sisters in law but really anyone I can get my hands on who will tolerate my endless baby talk : )  We are also working on the nursery and doing some house rearranging.  We have the furniture at this point but we still have a ways to go before it's baby ready.  We have another ultrasound appointment next week to measure the baby and all of his little parts to check his growth and see how he is developing.  We can't wait to see how much he has changed since our last ultrasound 4 weeks ago!

IT'S A BOY!

It's a boy!  We are so excited to be having  son!  Baby Meece is doing great.  Mommy and Daddy have the hard job now of choosing a name for this little guy.

 He's definitely a boy!  : )

4 Months!

Baby Meece and I are doing great!  We have our gender ultrasound this Tuesday afternoon and we cannot wait to find out if we are having a son or daughter!  I am also on spring break this week and am looking forward to sleeping in for 10 days straight!  My mom and dad will be visiting from Florida for the ultrasound and then my mom and I will be doing some baby shopping for the nursery.  Wear your comfy shoes, Mom! : ) We are also having a visit from the new Mr. and Mrs. Lee.  Jack's cousin, Michael, and his bride, Elisabeth, will be coming from Illinois for a few days.  What a fun spring break! Check back this week to hear the big gender news!

3 Months and Growing!

I am now 12 weeks pregnant and we are growing everyday!  Thanks to my parents and a fun shopping trip to the outlets with my Mom, I am all set to cloth this growing belly.

Overall, I think I've had a pretty good 1st trimester.  I was only mildly nauseous for a couple weeks earlier on during weeks 6 and 7.  Other than that I have been extremely tired and really hungry!  Jack has been great at picking up the slack with cleaning, dinners, helping with Murphy and taking care of odds and ends like shopping for family birthday presents.  The crazy hunger has definitely subsided and I am starting to feel a little less exhausted but still more tired than usual.

We had our 1st trimester check up and Baby Meece is doing great!  Baby had a good, strong heartbeat and is measuring a week bigger than he/she actually is.

We have an appointment in 6 weeks for an ultrasound to find out the gender.  We are so anxious and excited to find out if we are having a boy or a girl!

I would also like to take a moment to say THANK YOU for all of the cards, phone calls, and emails full of congratulations and well wishes!  We have been hearing from friends and family all over and it is so wonderful for everyone to share in our excitement.

We're Expecting!

Yes, I'm pregnant!  Jack and I are so excited to be expecting our first little miracle!  

After a year and a half of happy marriage, we decided it was time to expand our family.  To our surprise, it didn't take very long!  I found out on Christmas Eve but kept it a secret because I wanted to be able to tell Jack on Christmas morning.  When we woke up on Christmas morning, I presented Jack with a gift. With much anticipation, I watched him unwrap it, pull off the top of the box, lift back the tissue paper and hold up 2 tiny little onesies.  His reaction was full of joy and excitement...and I think a little shock too.   : )  Lots of hugs and kisses were shared and we went on to have our best and most blissful Christmas yet!  It just so happened that my parents and sister were in town to celebrate the holiday with us and it was so wonderful to be able to share our big news with them and Jack's Mom and siblings.  Their reactions were priceless, and we immediately knew how loved this baby already is.  

I am now 8 weeks along and Baby Meece is due September 4, 2013.  We thought we would start this blog to not only share the exciting news, but also to allow our friends and family to follow us on our new journey to parenthood.  Please check back often to get updates on Baby Meece and to see what Mommy and Daddy to be are doing to get ready for his/her big arrival!
