7 Months

28 Weeks!

Knoxville Baby Shower

Minde and Becca, my sisters in law, and Sandy, a longtime friend of Jacks' family, hosted a beautiful baby shower for us here in Knoxville.  It was a train themed shower to match Robert's nursery and every detail was absolutely adorable! We had a great time celebrating with lots of friends and family.

When Jack and I started dating I already knew he had a wonderful family that I would be so blessed to have as in laws.  (For those of you who don't know/ remember, Jack and I were introduced by his brother and sister in law, Tyler and Becca)  When we took our long distance relationship to the next step and I moved to Knoxville I quickly realized that Jack had so many special people in his life.  From the moment I moved here, I have felt welcomed with open arms from all of Jack's family and friends, both near and far.

Thank you ladies for an amazing shower and thank you family and friends for showering us with so much love and support!

New York Baby Shower

My mom and sister hosted a beautiful baby shower for us on Long Island, where I was born and raised.  The shower was absolutely beautiful and we had a great time with lots of family and friends!  I don't get back to NY very often and this was such a special visit that I will always remember and hold near to my heart.  Not only did we have an amazing celebration but we also got to spend some quality time with everyone just visiting and catching up.  Thank you to all of our family and friends for such a fun and loving weekend.  There are not enough words to express how full our hearts are with love and appreciation for all of the generosity and warmth that we were surrounded with.  This is a very special time in our lives and it makes it even more special when everyone so genuinely shares in our excitement.

Custom made diaper cake by Robert's Grandma (my mom)
How adorable is this cake?!  Robert's nursery theme is trains and elephants and Kristie did a great job designing this cake with the baker to coordinate with that, they even added a touch of orange to represent TN!  It tasted amazingly delicious too!

My sister, Kristie, organized some fun games to play at the shower to keep everyone entertained and having fun.  Her favorite gameshow is The Price Is Right so we played a couple rounds of the baby version.  There was also a bottle filled with jelly beans that we had to guess the total number and a mommy questionnaire that everyone had to try to guess what my answers would be.  We all had a great time playing games and there were even prizes for all of the winners!

Baby Robert was showered with so many wonderful gifts!  Here are just a few that we got some snap shots of.  He also received his travel system, pack n play, high chair, sleeper rocker, bath tub, lots of bath goodies like towels and toys and lotions and soaps, blankets, swaddlers, books and so many adorable outfits!  Keep checking the blog after Baby Robert's arrival to catch some outfit debuts.

Jack even got a Daddy diaper backpack!
Grampy (my Dad) got Robert his very first Harley gear, including a Harley Bear, Harley outfit and little miniature Harley motorcycle toy.  Do you think he is excited to be having a grandson?!  Although Mama Bear has already made it known that Robert will not be riding with Grampy anytime soon!

Thank you so much for all of the generous gifts!!  We are so very blessed and lucky to have family and friends helping us celebrate and getting ready for Robert's arrival!

I saw this onesie at the airport on the way home and had to have it for Baby Robert.  My visit home was a wonderful reminder of how much love and support we have and we truly appreciate and acknowledge each and every one of you!  I can't wait for Robert to wear this and to tell him how loved and blessed he is.
