Celebrating National Donut Day!

Officially a mini van family!

Snap pops with Daddy

We started officially potty training this month.  Beau has been doing pee pee on the potty since 18 months, just whenever he was happy to try, and it has also been a part of his bed time routine for several months.  But we decided it was time to get rid of the diapers (except for sleeping) and transition to big boy underwear.  Lots of accidents the first day but the 2nd and 3rd day only 1 or 2 and then after that 0-1.  He really did a great job and figured it out pretty quickly.  He of course needs lots of reminders and to sit on the potty and try every 1-1.5 hours.  Pooping on the potty was a different story.  He was very nervous to try it and kept saying, "Pooping on the potty is hard, Mommy".  We went to the store and picked out a little Paw Patrol potty in hopes that it would be a little less scary to try.  On Day 10 we had potty success!  He knew he had a prize waiting for him whenever it happened and he was so happy and proud to finally get his Jake and The Neverland Pirates treasure chest with lots of pirate goodies inside!

Father's Day was a pretty quiet, low key day, which is exactly what Daddy wanted.  We all had breakfast together and opened presents and then Jack took a couple hours in the morning to himself and went to hit some golf balls and run some solo errands.  In the afternoon, Beau and Daddy played with snap pops in the driveway and they tried a new sprinkler but Beau didn't love running through it. Then we enjoyed a late, adult dinner at home after Beau went to bed.
