Growing Our Family

On November 1st we found out we were expecting another little miracle!  Even when you are hoping to see positive results it is still somewhat shocking when you actually do.  So I took a couple more tests just to be sure ; )  On November 24th we went to the doctor for our first ultrasound. I will never get used to hearing that sweet little heartbeat!  Once we knew baby was doing well we decided to share the news with our parents and siblings.  Robert was excited to show off his new "Big Brother" t shirt and everyone else seemed pretty excited about the news too!

Due to my age, at 9 weeks they perform a blood test to look for possible complications or genetic disorders.  They are also able to identify the baby's gender through this testing.  At 11 weeks we received the results and great news that baby was healthy and we were expecting a beautiful baby BOY!  We are so excited for Robert to have a baby brother!  We shared the great news with our parents and siblings on December 23rd.  We decided to share the news with the rest of our family and friends on Christmas Day.  We emailed, texted and posted the news on social media.  It is so special and exciting to share with the world that you have created a new life and will be welcoming a new member of your family in the coming months!  It was also so heartwarming to get so many responses full of love, excitement and congratulations on the big news.

This family of 3 is feeling blessed, anxious and excited to become a family of 4!  Robert knows his baby brother is in Mommy's tummy and will stay there until he grows big and strong enough to enter the world.  He asks to see Mommy's belly and talks to his baby brother and gives him kisses and hugs.  He already loves him, and so do we!

Baby Meece is due to arrive July 10th!

Christmas in The Villages

We had a great Christmas visit at Grammy and Grampy's house!  We all drove there, including Murphy, and then Jack and Murphy drove home and Robert and I stayed for a few more days.  He loved taking golf cart rides, swimming in the pool, helping Grampy water the plants and just really enjoyed playing with his grandparents and Aunt Kristie.  We also went to Uncle Donald's Farm and Robert thought it was the most fun time!  He loved seeing and feeding all of the animals, riding on the tractor and milking a goat!

Beau and I had quite the trip home.  Our flight was delayed twice and once we finally boarded and took off a woman had a medical emergency and we had to turn around and go back to the Florida airport.  Once they got her taken care of and off the plane they deboarded the entire plane to do another maintenance check to make sure we were cleared for another take off.  Three hours after our original take off time we were finally in the air and on our way home!  Beau did so great and was a real trooper the entire time.  We even got a couple of compliments on how well he did from some fellow passengers.
